10.00am – 4.00pm each day (lunch provided as part of masterclass)
Soojin Kang invites people to share in her unique approach to create textile sculptures from a chosen object, to change its identity as well as find pleasure in the process of stitching.
Using simple tools and stitching techniques, people will learn about draping and pattern cutting for their chosen object. This will require close observation of the object and cutting into their favourite fabrics to connect them together with expressive stitches.
The class is a thorough introduction to the tools, cutting and stitching techniques of textile sculpture. People are welcome to bring their own object.
